This independent audit certifies that Bitfinex's information security practices, policies, procedures and operations meet the SOC 2 Trust Service Principles for security, availability and confidentiality. Developed by the American Institute of CPAs , SOC 2 stands for a System and Organisation Controls report, and its audit opinion is issued by a certified public auditor, that has assessed all our information technology internal controls. A SOC 2 report demonstrates the general IT controls in place through a third-party assurance report. SOC 2 defines criteria for managing customer data based on the following five "trust service principles": security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy.
